Yuechen Zhao Partner

Yuechen Zhao is a Partner at Informed Ventures, where he invests in 1) digital health companies, especially those transforming the patient experience and 2) SaaS / AI powering vertical industries. 

Yuechen studied computer science at Harvard and started his career as a software engineer at Flipboard and Microsoft. He then went on to manage product at Google, Uber, and a fintech startup. Prior to becoming an investor, he founded a travel startup that used AI to help consumers plan and navigate trips abroad (in 2017!) 

Yuechen loves working with founders from day one. Many of the companies whose boards he serves on – Venteur, Akia, GigSafe – he first partnered with when they had little to no revenue. He strives to be founders’ first call when working through critical decisions on a day-to-day basis, including hiring, fundraising, GTM, business model, and product strategy. 
When not working on his podcast and LinkedIn posts (he is a VC, after all), he and his wife invest in and operate vacation rentals in Arizona and Tennessee. He’s also trying to get back to playing the piano, finishing Game of Thrones (the books), and finally getting Luigi and friends out of the haunted mansion.
