Richard Lim is Founder and Managing Director at Informed Ventures, where he invests in early-stage companies applying AI to transform healthcare and enterprise markets. He is particularly fascinated by the opportunity for technology and particularly AI to transform our lives through rapidly growing startups.
About & Experience
Richard was an entrepreneur before starting GSR Ventures where he was the first investor in several companies that scaled from inception to multi-billion-dollar revenue enterprises—spanning both consumer and enterprise domains—and brings this rare blend of operational expertise and strategic vision to each startup he partners with.
Prior to Informed Ventures, Richard served as an executive at Lotus Development Corp. and the National University Hospital of Singapore, bridging cutting-edge technologies and patient care. With an MBBS from the National University of Singapore and an MBA from Stanford University (where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar), he merges clinical insights with hands-on entrepreneurial acumen to guide founders through go-to-market challenges, product strategy, and the full arc of organizational growth.
Richard is actively engaged with Menlo Church where he is particularly interested in the intersection of Faith, Work and Technology. He also enjoys rejuvenating walks around the SF Bay Area and finding great restaurants that serve healthy food with his wife.
